Last year, when my parents came out for Thanksgiving, the Bay Area was hit with a run of rainy, cold, crappy weather that lasted from the hour they stepped off the plane until, literally, about half an hour after they got on BART to go back to SFO. One of the things we’d hoped to do was take the ferry across from Oakland to San Francisco, but the weather last year precluded us from doing it. This year, the weather cooperated, and we took a gorgeous sunset ride across the water.
