While my car was being detailed in the city, my friend Alexis and I grabbed breakfast at Brenda’s French Soul Food in the Tenderloin. I had the Hangtown Fry (eggs scrambled with fried oysters and bacon), grits and a biscuit. It was delicious, and excellent sustenance for all the Thanksgiving prep I had to do that day.

  1. Mark, it was delicious. Best grits I’ve had outside of the South.
