On Monday morning before work, I cooked up a mess of cheap bacon, part of my effort to do recipe and menu planning for the Hunger Challenge. It was unbelievably salty and not nearly as good as better bacon that I’m used to, but nonetheless, would provide a modicum of better flavor to the recipes I planned to develop.
