Our friends Jane and Craig held the Anti-Absinthe League pre-Prohibition cocktail hour every weekday from 4-5 p.m. Dress required was either formal or fabulous, and they had a bouncer to keep out those who didn’t adhere. Fatemeh showed up on Thursday looking particularly fabulous, and was duly handed an Elderflower Gimlet to quench her thirst.
