Went to bed at midnight, woke up–wide awake–at 2 a.m. By 4:30 a.m., was still trying to get myself back to sleep. Then I had to go get an MRI, which, even though I knew I’d be in a noisy claustrophobic tube, was more noisy and claustrophobic than I had imagined. It was a cloudy, moody Monday morning.
