My friend Anita and I met for dinner tonight at Anchor & Hope in the FiDi, which neither of us had ever been to before. I had seen this dish on the menu, but when it arrived at a nearby table and I actually saw it up close and personal, I had to order it. This is warm sea urchin in the shell, with dungeness crab and lemon buerre blanc, AKA holy delicious. I did knock a spine into the food at one point, but removed it without further incident. “No visits to the emergency room tonight,” Anita said.

  1. It looks beautiful.

  2. Al_Pal, it was beautiful…and a little daunting. Just the way I like it. :-)
