My godparents’ daughter, Sarah, got married to Phil Sciarra on July 11 outside of Philadelphia. On the flight there, I got goosebumps thinking about her, who I’ve known since she was a baby, and what an amazing person she’s become as an adult. I spent much of the wedding and reception running around with my camera, taking advantage of the two-level reception space and the fact that I could shoot from the balcony, but shortly after I took this shot, I checked it on the screen on the back of the camera and started to cry — it is, hands down, my favorite photo from the entire wedding weekend. Congratulations, Sarah and Phil, and to the whole Learned family, I’m so glad I was able to come out and celebrate with you.
