I discovered when Britney Spears’ Blackout album came out that my friend Betsy was another closet Britney fan. During some of our darkest days in Iowa, we commuted back and forth together to Cedar Rapids, using that album as our escape from everything going on in both our lives. It was the perfect, booty-shaking balm for our troubles.

When Britney released “Circus” and announced a tour, we checked the schedule, and decided to meet in Las Vegas to see the show together. It was utter madness, and the spectacle of the show was amazing.
