Scott holds the odd lemon that grew on his and Howard’s backyard tree. Apparently there’s a Buddha’s Hand tree somewhere in the neighborhood that might have crossed with some of the lemons on Scott and Howard’s tree. I met them at a wonderful potluck at Russell and Nick’s fabulous house in Berkeley, where a group of us shared drinks, conversation and incredible food, and talked in the garden until the stars came out. And I discovered that Scott was actually one of my Inadvertent Gardener blog commenters…so fun to meet him in real life! It was a convivial end to a magical weekend.
