I got my returns back from Paul Pickering, who has been my tax preparer since 2002, a couple of weeks ago. But even though I’m due refunds for two of the three returns, I didn’t mail them until today. I did owe Iowa…$7. Which, considering what it took to get out of there, seems like a small price to pay for the amazing life I’m living in California.
