Taken at The Lunch Box on Franklin Street in downtown Oakland. My coworker and I stumbled upon it during lunch today, and I discovered that for $6.95, they’ll serve you up an excellent and sizeable order of BBQ brisket (slow-cooked in-house) over real mashed potatoes, with salad and a roll. We ate lunch alongside Lake Merritt in the mid-70s sunshine. It was pretty darn fabulous, as lunch breaks go.
